I was walking through a meadow, at dusk
the pink pedals were magnified by the setting sun
a hue so vibrant they almost looked artificial
tantalizing, I needed to touch
they were velvet
the fluttering feeling of
a playful pink,
registered, in the muted red of my head
even, if only for a moment
